About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support planning, directing, and coordinating day-to-day activities for projects or portfolios
Contribute to directional strategy and apply subject-matter expertise within the business
Assess creation and signoff of project plans, charters, benefits management plans, stakeholder management plans, acceptance plans, and central program issue logs
Oversee project plans to ensure they meet business needs
Identify stakeholders and ensure they understand project schedules and key milestones
Work with the Project Sponsor on business-case cost-benefit analysis
Ensure projects are appropriately staffed and monitor resource commitments
Escalate project risks to the Project Director or Project Sponsor
Create project risk management plans
Work with procurement to create, administer, track, and close project contracts
Recommend training and development needs for assigned personnel
Evaluate subordinate performance and recommend pay increases, promotions, terminations, and other personnel actions
Direct the supported area through delivery of end results and shared budget management
Ensure procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards
Assess risk in business decisions, safeguard Citi and its clients and assets, and drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need

6-10 years of Project Management experience
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
Basic commercial awareness
Developed communication and diplomacy skills
Ability to guide, influence and convince colleagues and occasional external customers
In-depth understanding of how areas integrate within the subfunction and contribute to function objectives
Experience creating and signing off project plans, charters, benefits management plans, stakeholder management plans, acceptance plans, and issue logs
Experience overseeing project plans and schedules
Experience with business case cost-benefit analysis
Experience with resource planning and staffing
Project risk management experience
Experience working with procurement teams on project contracts
Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations, and compliance policies
