Key responsibilities & impact

Lead multiple high-performing teams through senior managers
Direct a portfolio of Data Quality and Reporting initiatives influencing Citi’s risk posture, regulatory standing, and revenue outcomes
Shape enterprise data policy and partner with senior business leaders, technology executives, and global functional heads
Embed data governance frameworks and KPI/KRI architectures across every line of business
Exercise managerial and budgetary authority over globally distributed teams
Drive talent acquisition, executive coaching, performance calibration, and resource allocation
Direct executive- and board-level reporting
Serve as a primary interface for Internal Audit and risk committees
Operationalize enterprise data policies and establish KPI/KRI frameworks
Manage Data Quality and Reporting initiatives, including process reengineering
Control budgets, formulate policies, and lead planning
Contribute to future strategy for Data Quality and Reporting initiatives
Develop strategic plans for the function/team
Assess risk, drive compliance, manage control issues, and supervise activity across the organization

Requirements

What you’ll need

15+ years of related experience in Banking or Finance
Demonstrated leadership over large-scale, technically complex Data Quality and Reporting programs and globally distributed engineering teams
Track record establishing and scaling enterprise data governance frameworks, data lineage programs, or large-scale risk/compliance remediation efforts
Direct regulatory interaction experience with financial regulators such as FRB, OCC, PRA, MAS, and ECB
Experience leading complex organizational change initiatives across Technology, Operations, Business, and Risk teams
Experience building and leading high-performing senior technical teams, including executive coaching, performance calibration, succession planning, talent acquisition, and cross-border resource allocation
Strategic mindset and ability to set technical vision and translate complex data quality challenges into enterprise strategies
Experience with Citi’s Data Governance Policy, Data Operating Model, or equivalent Tier-1 bank data governance architectures
Deep expertise in enterprise data governance platforms such as Collibra, Informatica Data Quality, IBM InfoSphere, or Ataccama
Hands-on architectural experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure cloud data platforms
Experience with Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, or Hadoop
Proficiency in Python 3.10+, SQL, Scala, or PySpark
Proficiency with Oracle, Teradata, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
Experience establishing CI/CD engineering standards using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
Experience architecting data observability and monitoring solutions using Monte Carlo, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk
Experience applying AI/ML techniques using Python-based ML pipelines, TensorFlow, AWS SageMaker, or Azure ML
Bachelor's/University degree required; Master's degree preferred
