About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality UI components for the Prime Brokerage technology platform
  • Own the entire development lifecycle from concept to production
  • Provide technical leadership for an agile development team
  • Champion Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) best practices
  • Drive developer-led automated testing initiatives
  • Improve SDLC, agile, and DevOps processes using KPIs including DORA metrics
  • Lead design, planning, and estimation discussions with team members, department partners, and business stakeholders
  • Conduct system analysis and architecture design aligned with business requirements, technical standards, and the architecture blueprint
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and translate complex business needs into technical specifications
  • Oversee project and technical documentation
  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the SDLC
  • Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
  • Oversee production support, on-call rotations, post-mortems, and root-cause resolution
  • Improve performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Advise and coach mid-level developers, analysts, and graduates
  • Partner with management teams to integrate functions and define system enhancements
  • Resolve high-impact problems and projects through evaluation of complex business and system processes
  • Assess risk, drive compliance, and escalate and report control issues transparently

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
  • Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications
  • Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
  • React, Angular & Test-Driven Development are essential
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tooling such as GitHub Copilot and Devin is advantageous
  • Experience with Kotlin/Java is advantageous
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as Kubernetes and OpenShift is advantageous
  • Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, Solace, and TIBCO is advantageous
  • Experience with SQL/No-SQL databases and data stores such as SQL Server, Mongo, and S3 is advantageous
  • Experience with observability technologies such as OpenTelemetry, ELK, and Grafana is advantageous
  • Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
