About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead open source analysis for CSIS investigations involving fraud, cyber, insider, and other security threats
  • Monitor threats and collect data from social media, the deep web, and the dark web using advanced techniques
  • Apply qualitative and quantitative analytical methodologies, including link analysis and digital footprint analysis
  • Identify intelligence gaps and develop innovative solutions
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders on open source methodologies and tools
  • Deliver concise written intelligence products and oral briefings
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery of high-quality results
  • Collaborate with global teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience relating to open source intelligence analysis for investigations, threat monitoring, or intelligence targeting
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree / University degree
  • Demonstrable ability to collect, evaluate, interpret, and analyze data
  • Strong knowledge of analytical techniques
  • Strong analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate complex and dynamic material from multiple sources
  • Experience with commercial databases, surface, deep and dark web, and social media
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Established project management skills and ability to coordinate and prioritize several projects simultaneously
  • Experience managing variable and complex projects simultaneously and executing daily duties with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated process development and implementation experience
  • Self-motivation and ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions
  • Ability to act as a mentor to less-tenured staff
  • Experience utilizing analytical and visualization software applications, specifically link analysis tools
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office products
  • Fluent English language skills (written and oral) required
  • Additional languages preferred
