About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Participate in establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs with the Technology team
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for smooth and reliable deployments
Monitor applications with observability tools and apply intelligent monitoring or anomaly detection techniques
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and Java/Spring Boot microservices
Build and enhance RESTful APIs and enterprise-grade distributed systems
Lead system design, code reviews, and best-practice enforcement
Integrate AI/ML capabilities or third-party AI services into backend applications
Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, improve testing coverage, and enhance debugging
Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks, including AI-driven testing techniques where applicable
Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, DevOps, and product managers
Optimize database queries, application performance, high availability, and resiliency
Conduct root cause analysis, performance tuning, and production support
Mentor junior developers and promote modern, AI-enabled engineering practices
Stay current with backend, cloud, and AI-driven software development technologies

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of hands-on experience in software development
Proven track record building and designing robust backend systems
Java and Spring Boot framework experience is mandatory
Experience managing and implementing successful projects
Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Ability to adhere to coding standards, security guidelines, and regulatory compliance requirements
Ability to assess risks appropriately in technical decisions and align with organizational standards, policies, and compliance requirements
