Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and champion the multi-year strategic vision for the Complex Assets franchise
  • Identify market opportunities and assess competitive dynamics
  • Translate strategic intent into board-ready business cases and transformation roadmaps
  • Cultivate senior executive stakeholder relationships
  • Represent the business in global governance committees and senior client forums
  • Lead a large, geographically dispersed, multi-function organization
  • Set cultural direction, champion employee engagement, and develop future leaders through succession planning
  • Own Complex Assets client relationships and oversee client strategy from acquisition through lifecycle management
  • Lead client retention, satisfaction, and enterprise-level wallet share growth
  • Set and own the technology vision, partnering with Product and global Technology leadership on AI, machine learning, cloud infrastructure, automation, and digital transformation
  • Partner across Citi businesses to drive firmwide alignment and resolve complex cross-business issues
  • Ensure Complex Assets strategy supports broader Citi franchise ambitions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in OTC derivatives and/or securities services, with substantial tenure at a senior leadership level (VP and above)
  • Demonstrated track record of business management in a complex, global, and regulated financial services environment
  • Deep and proven expertise in OTC Derivatives across rates, credit, FX, equity, and commodities
  • Proven ability to conceive, sponsor, and deliver large-scale transformation programs, including technology-led change, operating model redesign, and post-merger integration
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and enterprise-level business case development
  • Outstanding executive communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Recognized industry standing, with an active presence in trade bodies, industry forums, or regulatory working groups
  • Proficiency in leveraging data and technology for strategic decision-making
  • Comfort engaging with CTO-level technology strategy and innovation agendas
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant quantitative field
  • Master's degree in a quantitative or business discipline is strongly preferred
  • Senior professional designations such as CFA or FRM and/or executive leadership credentials are highly regarded
  • Continued engagement with professional development and industry education is expected
