About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Monitor, measure, and analyze system performance and availability
Resolve high-impact problems and projects through evaluation of complex business and system processes and industry standards
Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the architecture blueprint
Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
Develop knowledge of how architecture and infrastructure integrate to accomplish business goals
Analyze issues and develop innovative solutions
Advise or coach junior SRE engineers and allocate work
Develop and maintain automated tools and systems to manage and monitor infrastructure
Reduce manual intervention, human errors, and time required for routine tasks
Assess service capacity and scale systems for increased usage
Plan resource allocation and manage load balancing
Detect, diagnose, and resolve incidents; conduct post-incident reviews
Collaborate with development teams, product owners, and stakeholders for seamless deliveries and common goals

Requirements

What you’ll need

6-10 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
Experience as Applications Development Manager
Experience as senior level in an Applications Development role
Stakeholder and people management experience
Demonstrated leadership skills
Proven project management skills
Basic knowledge of industry practices and standards
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
