About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage complex, critical, large professional disciplinary areas
Lead and direct a team or multiple teams of professionals
Manage technology components of major, multiple, highly complex, and potentially enterprise-wide projects
Develop IT work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
Provide IT strategic direction for managed projects
Set staffing guidelines to meet operational needs
Manage resources, budgets, planning, and project leadership outcomes
Evaluate subordinate performance and make decisions on pay increases, hiring, terminations, and other personnel actions
Resolve issues impacting areas beyond the immediate function
Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards
Influence and negotiate with senior leaders and communicate with external parties as needed
Drive compliance, assess risk, and escalate, manage, and report control issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years experience in a related technology role
Commensurate people management experience
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
Potentially Masters degree
Comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function
Strong commercial awareness
Excellent communication skills
In-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area
Basic knowledge of other areas
Good understanding of the industry
Ability to assess risk and drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations
Ability to supervise activities and create accountability
