About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a large, multi-faceted project involving multiple functional streams, technology platforms, and geographical locations
- Own project goals and inspire a shared sense of purpose within the project team
- Organize new challenges and drive business results
- Define project scope and objectives with Customer, Technology, Operations, and other Project Managers
- Prepare, maintain, and submit activity, progress, and time management reports
- Assess project risks and identify potential problems proactively
- Track participant progress against project goals
- Define, teach, and enforce project management practices for documenting, monitoring, and controlling complex activities
- Adapt project approaches to each project's context and constraints
- Conduct lessons-learned reviews and improve team skills
- Articulate problems, assemble appropriate stakeholders, and ensure issues are resolved and closed
- Promote partner involvement by communicating project status to leadership and the Business
- Communicate milestones, status updates, and customer escalation issues
- Follow escalation and change-control processes
- Own management reports for the engagement
- Build effective working relationships among project stakeholders
- Maintain the Book of Work and facilitate prioritization discussions with business stakeholders
- Develop and publish senior-management reporting, presentations, and town-hall content
- Manage relationships with Business and provide regular updates to business and technology stakeholders
- Liaise between Business and Development teams based on business priorities
- Collate and communicate project milestones, risks, and achievements
- Assess risk in business decisions while safeguarding Citigroup, clients, and assets and driving regulatory compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in business analysis or systems analysis
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- Strong foundation in statistics, data modeling, and translating business goals into analytical solutions
- Practical familiarity with implementing AI-driven analytics, LLM-based querying, or running pre-built machine learning/forecasting models
- Demonstrated expertise in presenting and using planning tools
- Proven diplomatic and analytical skills
- Proven ability to manage complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact by weighing various action plans and balancing potentially conflicting needs
- Advanced data analysis skills using Excel and Python
- Extensive exposure to structured project management techniques
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Proven experience managing and delivering complex technical projects
- Proven experience leveraging automation and AI-enabled tools to improve productivity, reporting, and delivery discipline
- Prior experience in Enterprise Risk Management and Limits & Thresholds Management
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master's degree preferred
- Must comply with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and company policies
- Must demonstrate sound ethical judgment and transparently escalate, manage, and report control issues
