About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead credit review, credit approvals, and portfolio monitoring activities
- Identify credit migration in coordination with the Risk Management team
- Manage Citi's portfolio exposure to clients and counterparties globally
- Develop frameworks for portfolio risk assessment across lending products and industry segments
- Evaluate credit and financial performance
- Assess the impact of credit policies and industry regulations on prospective partners or product initiatives
- Establish cross-functional partnerships and networks with internal and external constituencies
- Use SAS in a UNIX environment for risk, financial, and data analyses, including profiling, sampling, forecasting, and program due diligence
- Prepare risk management presentations for senior management
- Operate with limited direct supervision and exercise independent judgment and autonomy
- Act as a subject-matter expert for senior stakeholders and team members
- Mentor and guide junior analysts
- Assess and escalate risk and control issues while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8-10 years of experience in credit card risk management or equivalent training and experience, preferably in the financial services industry
- Proven ability to apply credit and risk principles toward business goals
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize and prioritize
- Proven ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational and analytic skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex analytical concepts to a senior audience
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
- Master's degree preferred
- Experience using Statistical Analysis System (SAS) in a UNIX environment
- Knowledge of applicable credit policies and industry regulations
