About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Evaluate client systems for optimization and upgrades
Perform in-house, on-site and remote computer and network services
Service PCs and servers
Install and test various network devices
Install and support software and peripherals
Install and maintain Citynet’s RMM services
Respond to customer device alerts
Document customer systems
Work with internal teams on customer services audits
Collaborate with engineers to stage and deploy equipment, ensuring seamless integration
Execute and validate backup procedures to maintain data integrity
Document system configurations and setups with clarity and precision
Track all time for proper billing and cost accounting in per-hour billing or flat-rate monthly settings
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associates degree or higher preferred
CompTIA/Microsoft certifications a plus
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an IT/Managed Services technician or equivalent work experience
Profound understanding of modern IP infrastructure elements, including network security, cloud-based computing, and enterprise design principles
Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Willingness to accommodate regional travel opportunities
Flexibility to accommodate occasional after-hours or overtime shifts
Participation in an on-call rotation to provide timely support and resolution for critical issues outside of regular business hours
