About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and build Clara's identity and access layer across products
  • Own authentication end-to-end, including architecture, implementation, and Auth0 integration across frontend and backend
  • Design and harden authentication flows and the full user lifecycle
  • Serve as the engineering reference for identity and access and resolve complex authentication problems
  • Set and maintain security and quality standards on identity-critical paths through code reviews and design reviews
  • Partner with the team's tech lead and product on the feasibility of authentication-heavy initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for AI tooling to accelerate initiatives
  • Architect the identity layer and ensure frontend and backend identity systems integrate consistently

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of software engineering experience with solid execution in production environments
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience implementing authentication and authorization on a modern identity platform
  • Auth0 experience preferred; comparable identity platforms welcome
  • IAM depth is a strong plus
  • Full-stack engineering experience with backend strength
  • Experience or ability to work with Java and Spring on the backend and React on the frontend; strong fundamentals and ability to ramp quickly valued
  • Deep understanding of web application security best practices and secure software design in distributed architectures
  • High autonomy, proactivity, and ownership mindset
  • Active experimentation with AI tools and eagerness to apply AI to development
  • English proficiency for technical communication and collaboration across geographies
