About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage mechanical and electrical assets across the organisation, specifically street-lighting assets
- Take day-to-day responsibility for electrical asset streams
- Ensure services are delivered safely and in line with legal and contractual requirements
- Act as the key link between internal teams and electrical contractors
- Ensure reactive repairs are completed and compliance standards are met
- Manage contracts and monitor contractor performance
- Work with the Operations Manager to find solutions, liaise with specialists, and drive continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience coordinating or managing M&E or heating contractors
- Proven contract management skills
- Membership of CIOB, CIBSE, or CIPS, and/or a Level 3 or higher technical or built environment qualification
- Relevant qualifications may include water hygiene (P901), Electrical (L2, L3, AM2), or Asbestos (P405)
- Desirable: service delivery experience in social housing
- Desirable: understanding operational compliance for M&E or heating assets
- Desirable: HND or HNC in a relevant discipline
- Basic Criminal Record Check Clearance
- Must be eligible to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available
- Required to reside in England or Wales for the duration of employment
- Ability to travel across the region as required
