Key responsibilities & impact

Ship product features from specification through production delivery
Own correctness, performance, security, and user experience outcomes end to end
Write specifications and acceptance criteria for coding agents
Direct coding agents, critically review their output, and iterate
Test and understand shipped software before merging
Improve agentic workflows and provide feedback to the Applied AI team
Learn permitting, licensing, plan review, inspections, and municipal regulations
Take features from customer conversations through to well-tested production delivery
Make lasting improvements to how the engineering pod works

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years as a software developer shipping production web applications
Deep fundamentals in API design, data modeling, testing, and cloud infrastructure
Real experience building with coding agents and AI-assisted development tools
Experience shipping production code using coding agents and AI-assisted development tools
Strong written communication
Ability to read and understand all code shipped, including code not personally typed
Comfort with pace and ambiguity
Successful candidates must undergo comprehensive background checks focused on relevant global sanctions and criminal offences
Nice to have: experience in government, civic, or other regulated software
Nice to have: experience with permitting, land management, community development systems, or municipal government operations
Nice to have: experience with eval-driven development or AI code evaluation harnesses
