About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as HR Services leader and strategic advisor to Institute, Division and Hospital leadership
- Develop and maintain HR strategic plans aligned with business goals and workforce planning needs
- Establish Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) to measure and track strategic-plan outcomes
- Partner with Human Resources Centers of Excellence on workforce planning, benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, wellness, learning and engagement, HRIS and analytics, and HR communications
- Direct and oversee HR Services employees
- Identify opportunities and drive process improvement
- Interpret HR and business metrics to identify trends, solve problems and influence change
- Assess talent and provide guidance for leadership development strategies
- Advise executive leadership on organizational and HR issues
- Coach leaders on change management, engagement, team effectiveness and leadership development
- Facilitate retreats, new leader assimilations and team engagement activities
- Investigate complex employee complaints and recommend actions to senior leaders
- Assist leaders with performance deficiencies and remediation plans
- Assess organizational risk related to employee and HR matters and recommend solutions
- Ensure leaders are informed and compliant with organizational initiatives and regulatory requirements
- Maintain regulatory knowledge and expertise
- Partner with the legal department as needed
- Oversee collective bargaining agreements, contract interpretation and negotiations, if applicable
- Participate in leadership councils and committees
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field
- 8 years of progressive, related Human Resources experience
- Three years of management experience and/or experience coaching and mentoring leaders
- Strong verbal and written communication, group facilitation and presentation skills
- Analytical skills in talent management, workforce planning, and HR strategy
- Ability to analyze and apply data measures, performance and outcomes
- Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- In-depth knowledge of employment and labor laws, including FLSA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA and NLRA
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
- Ability to travel throughout the hospital system and, in some locations, off-site
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
- Must follow standard precautions and use personal protective equipment as required
- Must comply with the annual influenza prevention program
- Post-offer controlled-substance testing required
