About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support medication-related Epic workflows for Cleveland Clinic London Hospital as part of a collaborative Pharmacy Informatics team based in Ohio and Florida
- Conduct discovery and quality assurance for medication build requests
- Partner with analysts on Willow Inpatient and Willow Ambulatory applications
- Develop implementation plans
- Ensure medication records support safe and effective ordering within Epic
- Coordinate process design, redesign, system build, system testing and implementation of medication information technologies with interfaces and related IT projects
- Facilitate development of medication documentation and ordering systems with other disciplines
- Ensure ongoing development of automated decision support tools related to safe and effective medication use
- Assist users in modifying processes for implementation and efficient use of the clinical information system
- Identify computer capabilities and clinical department needs
- Communicate clinicians’ objectives and goals through system and process improvements
- Integrate medication-use documentation systems across disciplines using clinical knowledge
- Maintain issue logs and follow assigned items through completion
- Communicate timely and accurately with committees, project team members and clinicians
Requirements
What you’ll need- Applicants must be licensed in Ohio or Florida and must reside within a commutable distance to a Cleveland Clinic Hospital
- Pharmacy Degree with current state licensure
- Two years working in an acute care setting as a Pharmacist and/or Pharmacy Informatics Specialist OR completion of a residency in Pharmacy Informatics
- Advanced degree in Pharmacy and/or a residency or fellowship training (preferred)
- Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current State within 90 days of hire (preferred)
- Experience building in Epic (preferred)
- PGY2 in informatics (preferred)
- Ability to work Saturday and Sunday back-to-back during the assigned eighth weekend
- May be required to work on-site at a Cleveland Clinic location
- Ability to perform computer functions and communicate via telephone
- Ability to lift and transport up to ten pounds
- Normal or corrected vision
- Compliance with standard precautions and required personal protective equipment
- Must comply with annual influenza vaccination program or obtain an approved exemption
- Must undergo controlled-substance testing after an offer of employment
