About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory cardiac rehabilitation setting
- Assess health status and complete nursing assessments
- Perform telephone triage and establish care plans
- Administer medications and treatments
- Initiate CPR and other emergency measures
- Notify physicians and/or Licensed Independent Providers of abnormal findings
- Assist with specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and specialized patient-care equipment
- Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education for patients and families
- Cover other nursing roles within the department
- Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- One year of recent experience as an RN
- LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience may substitute for RN experience only for specified current Cleveland Clinic caregivers transferring within ambulatory or same-specialty clinical roles
- Ability to work primarily 7:30am–4:00pm and occasionally 3:00pm–7:00pm
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity, eye-hand coordination, corrected hearing and vision, and light-work demands
- Must use required personal protective equipment and follow Standard Precautions
- Must comply with annual influenza vaccination or obtain an approved exemption
