About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead company product portfolio adoption, revenue growth, and long-term account value across national reference lab accounts such as Quest Diagnostics, Labcorp, and Sonic
- Own relationship-building and total oversight and management of national accounts
- Build and execute multi-year account business plans and national account strategies
- Drive revenue, growth, profitability, product adoption, retention, and account expansion
- Identify customer needs, unmet opportunities, competitive dynamics, and barriers to growth
- Maintain account coverage across multiple organizational levels
- Maintain accurate forecasts and conduct regular business reviews with key customers
- Build relationships with executive, clinical, laboratory, supply chain, and value analysis stakeholders
- Navigate complex and long sales cycles and translate clinical, operational, and economic value into customer outcomes
- Engage decision-makers through sales calls, presentations, professional meetings, and industry events
- Broker clinical interactions as needed and serve as a clinical, technical, and market resource
- Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification and contract discussions through implementation
- Ensure agreements are financially viable, compliant, and aligned with customer and company objectives
- Execute sales strategies aligned with budgets, pricing frameworks, and revenue objectives
- Serve as the primary internal voice of national account customers
- Partner with Account Executive, Client Operations, Marketing, Product Management, Operations, Medical Affairs, Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams
- Coordinate internal resources to resolve customer issues in a timely manner
- Manage expenses and maintain accurate CRM documentation, account plans, and opportunity records
- Participate in ongoing professional development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree with 15 years of experience with significant progression in relationship-building with national lab accounts and selling sophisticated clinical diagnostic products to national accounts
- Demonstrated success managing complex enterprise customers and driving meaningful revenue growth, retention, and account expansion
- Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting to support company revenue and expense objectives
- Knowledge of the Clinical Lab industry and environment
- Ability to effectively communicate across departments across the organization to support company, client, and sales objectives
- Excellent relationship-building acumen across multiple layers and hierarchy positions of national accounts
- Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor
- Critical thinking using logic and reasoning
- Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills
- Adherence to strict confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
- Ability to sit, stand and/or walk throughout the day
- Ability to operate a computer and multitask across software communication and data entry programs while using a telephone device for several hours a day
- Ability to safely drive a vehicle and travel using mass and/or air transit
- Valid driver’s license in good standing with required insurance coverage
- Frequent use of personal vehicle, including out-of-state visits
- Willingness to work outside standard business hours
