About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Configure, build, maintain, and optimize Epic Resolute Hospital Billing and Professional Billing applications
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into Epic application functionality and system configuration
- Support hospital and professional billing workflows, including charge capture, claims, remittance, reimbursement, billing edits, and work queues
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, billing, claims, and workflow issues
- Perform workflow analysis and recommend process improvements to enhance revenue cycle efficiency
- Participate in system design, configuration, testing, validation, implementation, upgrades, enhancements, patches, and production support
- Develop and execute unit, integrated, regression, and end-to-end testing
- Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Finance, Billing, IT, Clinical, and operational teams
- Gather requirements, document workflows, prepare functional specifications, and maintain application/build documentation
- Investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement solutions
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and integrated applications
- Assist with go-live activities, post-production support, and stabilization
- Follow change-management, testing, security, and compliance procedures
- Provide application support and guidance to end users and business stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience working with Epic applications in a healthcare IT environment
- Hands-on experience with Epic Resolute HB and/or PB
- Active Epic certification in HB and/or PB is strongly preferred/required depending on the engagement
- Strong understanding of hospital and/or professional revenue cycle workflows
- Experience with Epic build, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and production support
- Strong knowledge of billing, claims, reimbursement, charge capture, and revenue cycle processes
- Experience participating in Epic implementations, upgrades, enhancements, or optimization projects
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
