Key responsibilities & impact

Lead structuring and execution of financings supporting Cloudflare’s global network and infrastructure strategy
Own financing workstreams end-to-end, from structuring and counterparty engagement through term negotiation, documentation, and close
Translate infrastructure requirements and capex plans into investable frameworks and materials for financing counterparties
Represent Cloudflare in negotiations covering risk allocation, collateral, covenants, and commercial terms
Evaluate lease versus buy versus finance trade-offs and recommend appropriate structures
Build internal frameworks, playbooks, and processes for evaluating, approving, and executing financing transactions
Collaborate with Treasury on debt, convertible, and other structured transactions and analyze capital structure, liquidity, and cost of capital
Develop and maintain relationships with banks, private credit funds, private equity, lessors, infrastructure investors, and vendor finance teams
Monitor market conditions, pricing, and emerging financing structures
Build and maintain financial models supporting transaction structuring, pricing, returns, and capital allocation
Prepare recommendations for the CFO, senior leadership, and Board
Partner with Accounting, Tax, and Legal on accounting treatment, tax implications, disclosure, and documentation
Coordinate with Infrastructure, Sourcing, Treasury, Legal, and leadership teams
Manage post-close covenant compliance, reporting obligations, and counterparty relationships
Use AI-native tooling and automation to scale models, trackers, and workflows

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience across structured or project finance, infrastructure investing, private credit, equipment leasing, private equity, investment banking, and/or corporate capital markets
Track record of leading complex financing transactions through to close, including direct negotiation and documentation with external counterparties
Ability to run a financing workstream independently and represent the company credibly with senior external counterparties
Deep structuring expertise in equipment finance, leasing and sale-leaseback, asset-backed and project finance, vendor financing, and debt or convertible capital markets
Advanced financial modeling, credit analysis, and transaction documentation skills
Familiarity with credit agreements, master lease agreements, and related legal documentation
Working knowledge of accounting and tax implications of financing structures
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, and execution in a fast-moving environment
Ability to build credibility with senior internal stakeholders and external counterparties
Fluency with modern AI tooling and track record of using it to amplify impact
Sound judgment with confidential information
Sector background in data centers, digital infrastructure, telecom, cloud, or AI compute preferred
Existing relationships with lenders, lessors, and infrastructure investors a plus
MBA, CFA, or similar a plus, but not required
