About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a dedicated, long-term technical partner embedded within a strategic customer’s engineering organization
Design, build, and deploy production-ready code and configurations into customer infrastructure using Cloudflare’s platform
Own the account’s technical success across the Cloudflare portfolio and serve as the primary technical point of contact
Participate in customer engineering rituals including daily standups, design reviews, and real-time incident response
Accelerate adoption of Cloudflare services across the customer’s technology stack
Surface real-world edge cases and product gaps to Cloudflare Product and Engineering teams
Establish and maintain trusted technical relationships with Staff+ engineers, Directors, and VPs
Maintain a regular on-site presence at customer locations
Influence Cloudflare’s developer platform roadmap through customer insights

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of professional software engineering experience
Experience with modern languages such as TypeScript, Rust, and Golang
Experience owning mission-critical services with real-world users
Understanding of on-call rotations, incident response, and five-nines uptime
Broad technical fluency across frontend performance, backend logic, database optimization, and distributed infrastructure
Experience integrating AI-augmented workflows such as Windsurf or OpenCode into daily development
Ability to design scalable, resilient technical architectures from complex business requirements
Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure
Understanding of serverless, networking, and security primitives
Ability to engage in high-stakes technical discussions with VP-level stakeholders and translate engineering trade-offs into business impact
Authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export laws without sponsorship for an export license, if applicable
Willingness and ability to go deep on Cloudflare product areas including Workers, security, networking, and observability
