About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a dedicated, long-term technical partner within a strategic customer’s engineering organization
Design, build, and deploy production-ready code and configurations into customer infrastructure using the Cloudflare platform
Own the account’s technical success across Cloudflare’s portfolio
Act as the primary technical point of contact and direct other Cloudflare technical resources through the account’s technical strategy
Participate in customer engineering rituals, including daily standups, design reviews, and real-time incident response
Accelerate adoption of Cloudflare services across the customer’s technology stack
Build production applications across Cloudflare product areas including Workers, security, networking, and observability
Surface real-world edge cases and product gaps to Cloudflare Product and Engineering teams
Establish and maintain trusted technical relationships with Staff+ engineers, Directors, and VPs
Maintain a regular on-site presence at customer locations

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of professional software engineering experience
Experience with modern languages such as TypeScript, Rust, or Golang
Experience owning mission-critical services with real-world users
Understanding of on-call rotations, incident response, and architectural rigor for five-nines uptime
Current hands-on development experience with modern frameworks, languages, and deployment patterns
Broad technical fluency across frontend performance, backend logic, database optimization, and distributed infrastructure
Experience integrating AI-augmented workflows such as Windsurf or OpenCode into daily development
Ability to decompose complex business requirements into scalable, resilient technical architectures
Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure
Understanding of serverless, networking, and security primitives
Ability to engage in high-stakes technical and strategic discussions with VP-level stakeholders
Direct experience building on Cloudflare Workers or the broader Cloudflare Developer Platform is a bonus
Startup or customer-facing engineering experience is a bonus
Open-source contributions, technical blogging, or industry conference speaking is a bonus
Authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export laws without sponsorship for an export license may be required
