About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and operate secure and resilient distributed systems for secrets and key management
Strengthen and re-architect internal PKI and machine/workload identity
Run and support the systems built, operationally and by helping internal developers use them
Participate in the On Call rotation for emergency incident response
Consult on the design and architecture of new systems and products to ensure secure implementation and correct use of services

Requirements

What you’ll need

Software development and distributed systems design expertise
Linux/UNIX system administration proficiency
Strong security background with a focus on implementation, not policy/compliance
Applicants may need authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export laws without sponsorship for an export license
Bonus/nice-to-have: Track record of contributing to open source security or distributed systems projects
Bonus/nice-to-have: Cryptography background and ability to work with cryptosystems at the primitives level
Bonus/nice-to-have: Experience with HSMs, TPMs, or other platform TEEs, such as AMD SEV, Intel SGX, or Apple Secure Enclave
Bonus/nice-to-have: Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault or OpenBao, or similar
Bonus/nice-to-have: Familiarity with Go and/or Python + Salt specifically
