Key responsibilities & impact- Enhance the team’s capacity to deliver assigned stories by the end of each sprint
- Perform automated testing and API testing for complex applications and scenarios
- Locate and document edge cases, assess risks, and propose acceptance-criteria modifications
- Apply automation, API testing, and accessibility testing principles and solutions
- Document anticipated risks and blockers and advance testing best practices
- Mentor peers and more junior team members
- Serve as a technical subject-matter expert during sprints
- Prioritize testing efforts and enhance acceptance criteria to support sprint commitments
- Conduct recruiting interviews and analyze candidates for hiring or contracting
- Present testing plans, metrics, insights, and direction during sprint reviews
- Propose solutions and improvements to clients
- Ensure the team understands acceptance criteria and track daily progress
- Limit QA kickback and deliver assigned stories
- Identify opportunities to increase team capacity and velocity
- Participate in sprint planning and delegate technical work
- Coordinate with delivery leads on priorities, team allocation, and risks
- Act as the technical interface for clients and guide them without excessive technical jargon
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid understanding of QA fundamentals and practices
- Deep expertise developing and maintaining end-to-end test frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, and/or Selenium
- Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or Python
- Experience with Appium for mobile iOS and Android testing
- Strong proficiency integrating automated tests into CI/CD using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
- Experience with parallel execution, test reporting, and environment management
- Experience building a test automation framework from scratch
- 5–8+ years of professional experience in relevant technology and projects
- Experience leading and executing automated testing for web and mobile applications
- Experience using industry-standard tools across the software development lifecycle
- Experience presenting to client stakeholders and communicating technical and business value
- Experience understanding and articulating business outcomes impacted by development projects
- Coaching and mentoring experience through collaboration and structured code reviews
- Relevant education may include intensive programs, a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
