About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a caseload of aviation disputes and related litigation matters
  • Advise airlines and other aviation-sector clients on liability, regulatory and operational issues, including 261 claims
  • Draft legal advice, pleadings, witness statements and court submissions
  • Attend client meetings, mediations, hearings and court proceedings as required
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients and industry contacts
  • Support business development initiatives, including articles, presentations and client training
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Clyde & Co's international aviation and insurance practices
  • Support clients on contentious and advisory matters, complex litigation before French courts, aviation regulatory matters, disputes and major loss investigations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualified as an Avocat and admitted to practice in France
  • Experience in litigation and dispute resolution, ideally within the aviation, transport or insurance sectors
  • Excellent drafting, advocacy and analytical skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure
  • Confident and professional communication with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
  • Fluent in French
  • Strong written and spoken English language skills
  • Proactive approach to business development and relationship management
  • Sound judgement, attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
