About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Business Development Managers and Sector Heads with client-targeting initiatives
  • Prepare research packs for client meetings with relevant client and market information
  • Analyse and report on client activity, including meetings, events and pitches
  • Provide ad hoc support for revenue-generating initiatives
  • Support preparations for client-focused regional visits
  • Assist with data and financial reports
  • Support pitches and proposals, including reviewing RFPs and ensuring submissions meet requirements
  • Source and tailor standard content, including firm information, professional profiles and capability statements
  • Prepare briefing documents and coordinate high-quality submissions within agreed deadlines
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to obtain input and approvals
  • Manage in-person and online client events from conception through delivery
  • Manage event and invitation lists and coordinate event collateral
  • Arrange event logistics with external suppliers
  • Project manage client webinars and provide on-site support at in-person events
  • Report on and analyse event return on investment
  • Support marketing campaigns, client mailings, brochures and marketing materials
  • Produce CRM activity reports and use analytics to monitor performance and maximise return on investment
  • Create and maintain website content
  • Support podcasts and other digital content
  • Contribute to legal directory submissions and interview arrangements
  • Conduct client, market, competitor and sector research
  • Prepare reports and analysis for Business Development initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records and capture relevant data in internal systems
  • Provide insights evaluating Business Development and Marketing activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Educated to degree level or possess equivalent relevant experience
  • At least one year’s experience in Business Development or Marketing within a professional services organisation
  • Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and projects, manage stakeholder expectations and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, as well as online research tools
  • Ideally, experience using legal-sector CRM systems, client mailing platforms and webinar technology
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships across the Business Development team and wider business
  • Proactive, flexible and collaborative approach to work
