About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor accounts receivable and Work In Process to identify collection trends for past due accounts
- Partner with attorneys on collection efforts while maintaining client relationships
- Contact clients regarding past due accounts until payment is received
- Document client activity and communications
- Monitor accounts receivable for disputed line items
- Prepare and submit appeals to clients and ensure responses by client deadlines
- Work with the billing department to ensure bills are sent according to client requirements
- Act as a financial liaison between the firm and its clients
- Assist with collections outside the home office as needed
- Assist the Billing team as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous accounts receivable experience, preferably in a law firm or other professional services firm
- Previous legal eBilling experience is beneficial but not required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
