About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist fee earners with the day-to-day management of catastrophic injury and large loss claims
  • Review and analyse medical records, witness evidence, and other claim documentation
  • Assist with liability and quantum investigations
  • Draft correspondence, witness statements, instructions to counsel, and instructions to medical and other experts
  • Prepare court bundles, conference packs, and hearing materials
  • Liaise with clients, insurers, experts, counsel, and other third parties
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries
  • Manage diaries, deadlines, and key case milestones
  • Support business development initiatives and client relationship activities where appropriate
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, service standards, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous experience in a legal environment, preferably within personal injury, defendant insurance litigation, or insurance claims
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Proactive and professional approach to work
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Knowledge of the litigation process is advantageous but not essential
  • Genuine interest in catastrophic injury and complex casualty litigation
