About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver high-quality legal services across professional liability matters
Manage a diverse caseload involving claims against solicitors, accountants, financial advisers, construction consultants, brokers, and other regulated practitioners
Handle complex, multi-party litigated and pre-action disputes
Advise on policy coverage issues and related matters
Provide advisory work for major insurers, Lloyd’s syndicates, and corporate clients
Run files independently
Contribute to strategically important matters under partner guidance
Handle regulatory investigations, litigation, coverage matters, and professional liability claims

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 3 PQE preferred as a guide; all suitable candidates will be considered
Previous experience acting on coverage disputes and advisory matters in financial, professional, and management lines
Strong knowledge of the FCA-regulated space and FOS procedure
Previous experience working on financial lines and coverage matters
Broad experience across coverage and liability matters
Excellent technical legal skills, including drafting and strategy management
Ability to manage and prioritise a full and varied caseload
Experience supporting practice management
Connections with clients in the insurance market and a developing profile and network of contacts and potential clients
Excellent team-player capabilities and alignment with Clyde & Co competencies
Practicing certificate required for practicing solicitors under the Solicitors Act 1974
Successful completion of a Training Contract or equivalent
Legal Practice Course or Graduate Diploma in Law if a non-Law graduate
