About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Verify and reconcile freight revenue and local surcharges against the Global Shipping System
- Monitor daily KRW/USD bank inflows and clear payments by matching them to B/Ls or invoices
- Monitor shipper and freight forwarder credit standing
- Manage credit limits and release Freight Hold status upon payment
- Resolve billing discrepancies with Sales and Documentation teams
- Prepare weekly and monthly AR Aging reports
- Identify potential bad debts for management review
- Explain local tax and accounting logic to non-Korean-speaking stakeholders
- Communicate daily with GBS, ARO, and HQ via email and messenger
- Translate local accounting nuances into standard business English for reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Professional English proficiency for business emails, shipping terminology, meetings, and conference calls
- High accuracy handling high-volume foreign currency transactions
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong understanding of Foreign Exchange (FX) gains/losses
- Ability to collaborate with Operations, Equipment, Commercial, Sales, Documentation, GBS, ARO, and HQ teams
- Solid understanding of IFRS and Korean GAAP
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is a strong plus
- Understanding of international business etiquette and ability to work in a multicultural environment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or Finance
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience; junior candidates with exceptional internship experience may be considered
- English certifications such as TOEIC or OPIc are preferred
- Experience working in an international business setting is preferred
