About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain inventory at required levels in depots and terminals by comparing inventory and booking levels
  • Perform equipment confirmation and release at depots and terminals in corresponding systems
  • Reduce empty idle time by coordinating with depots, terminals, port operations, and maintenance and repair teams
  • Approve trucking payments by processing email requests and creating work orders for container drays and chassis splits
  • Manage off-hire and on-hire programs with leasing companies and HO Logistics
  • Rebill misuse of empty units returned to incorrect locations
  • Coordinate with other shipping lines regarding subleasing of units
  • Resolve problems for internal and external customers
  • Propose vessel loadback counts and assist with loadback preparation and planning
  • Perform miscellaneous related duties or projects as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-3 years of general experience
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of the shipping industry
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access
