About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage equipment balance and monitor control procedures
- Ensure and monitor city limit, up country and international shipment delivery
- Fulfil all validated booking requests according to applicable procedures
- Arrange release of empty containers and container fitting materials according to validated bookings
- Address customer complaints resulting from delays in container positioning or collection
- Update and circulate bookings awaiting container positioning
- Prepare and circulate container stock reports to management and agency staff
- Transfer containers and fitting materials from ports to designated storage facilities
- Monitor stock levels of containers, seals, and fitting materials and alert management
- Update periodic billing and consumption reports for container fitting materials
- Monitor and coordinate transfer or evacuation of empty containers and related supplier invoices
- Collect commercial forecasts and prepare forecasts
- Participate in periodic activity meetings
- Apply Logistics Regional and Head Office stock-management instructions
- Monitor city limits, up-country, and international shipment delivery or pickup for road transport
- Update systems and create transport purchase orders
- Control transport invoices
- Perform other duties within the scope of competencies as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Five years post-secondary qualification in Transport and Logistics
- At least two years of experience
- Knowledge of logistics fundamentals and flow management
- Good knowledge of management software
- Good command of English
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office and Windows)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Rigorous and ethical
- Proactive
