About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the Procurement team in the Netherlands and Belgium, managing 3 Procurement Specialists
Drive cost savings, supplier performance, and further professionalisation of Procurement in the BeNe-cluster
Initiate and manage tenders, negotiations, and procurement projects
Develop and implement category and supplier strategies
Own the end-to-end category management strategy for Temporary Labour
Determine the optimal supplier landscape and preferred supplier base
Negotiate competitive rates and commercial terms
Ensure access to appropriate supplier capabilities, capacity, and flexibility at the right cost
Monitor compliance with procurement policies, contractual agreements, and commercial terms
Identify and address risks within the supplier base
Guide the team through change and align employees with the department’s direction
Manage stakeholders at local, regional, and global levels
Travel regularly to locations or suppliers across the BeNe-region
Report to the Global Procurement Vice President with a dotted-line relationship to the Country Head BeNe

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 7 years of relevant work experience in procurement / purchasing
Experience in a strategic role with extensive stakeholder management
Experience in managing, coaching, or developing a team
Ability to operate at different levels, from operational to global
Strong communication skills combined with a diplomatic and professional approach
Fluency in both Dutch and English, spoken and written
Availability for 32 to 40 hours per week
Senior procurement professional with a tactical mindset and strong leadership skills
Good understanding of organizational dynamics
Experience creating structure, optimizing processes, and implementing improvements within a team or organization
