About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop critical relationships with internal and external customers
  • Assist with account management, including maintaining customer profiles, details, and service needs
  • Address complex or escalated questions and concerns regarding shipments, billing, status, services, carriers, and other needs
  • Manage document accuracy using complex knowledge of customers, carriers, and procedures
  • Oversee services requiring special or expedited handling
  • Track orders and shipments and assist with tracing, including complex domestic and international operations
  • Process operational data in software systems and applications
  • Identify missing or potential operational or service concerns and resolve them with appropriate groups
  • Use databases, logs, and other sources to locate and verify complex information
  • Run, analyze, and summarize operational reports and details
  • Present information to co-workers or supervisors as needed
  • Interface with carriers to understand requirements and track shipments or details
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe and effective work environment and assist others with operational matters
  • Create and process required shipping documents
  • Review shipping documents for operational accuracy and answer customer questions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School graduate or GED required
  • Associate Degree or equivalent combination of work experience preferred
  • Two years of specialized logistics or related operations support experience
  • Basic to Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, web-based, and job-specific software applications
  • Ability to utilize databases and systems to review and verify logistics and transportation information
  • Ability to prepare operational reports, queries, and service information
  • Ability to track and trace basic shipments or product, typically domestic and more complex
  • Capable of working with providers, carriers, and services in a transportation/logistics environment
  • Able to identify operational delays and communicate and work to resolve potential concerns or delays
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and changing environment, both as a team member and individual contributor
  • Ability to communicate professionally with onsite and remote customers
