About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Report to the Trade Manager for Transpacific Trade
  • Run the monthly allocation process and execute internal booking management and release-system activities
  • Ensure allocations are adjusted to vessel profiles
  • Coordinate with Head Office and the Singapore Regional Office to ensure data is updated accurately
  • Liaise with Business Process and IT Support to rectify process and technical issues in the allocation system
  • Analyse Transpacific Eastbound vessel performance, loading factors, daily positions, NOR performance, customer profiles, and Head Office allocations
  • Take actions to achieve maximum yield
  • Research economic and shipping outlook and track market demand and supply dynamics
  • Prepare management presentation files upon request
  • Maintain Trade report dashboards on the QlikSense platform
  • Review dashboard data to ensure data integrity
  • Prepare trade-specific documents for IT to map into the backend database
  • Work with trade stakeholders to improve or create reports on QlikSense as part of Trade’s automation KPI

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Tertiary education or above, preferably in shipping, logistics management or business administration
  • Around 2 years of relevant reporting experience in the maritime industry
  • Proficient in Excel; VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables mandatory
  • Power Query mandatory
  • Excel Macro / VBA coding mandatory
  • QlikSense or similar dashboard creation tools such as Power BI or Tableau mandatory
  • Power Automate
  • IT savvy and experience with data presentation and visualisation is an added value
  • Good market knowledge
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
