About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair medical imaging and X-ray equipment
  • Travel throughout the Southeast to support customer service and installation needs
  • Evaluate, troubleshoot, and complete assigned service calls efficiently and accurately
  • Maintain customer satisfaction on billed, warranty, and contract service calls
  • Represent CMS Imaging professionally with a positive attitude
  • Complete service, quality, expense, overtime, regulatory, and documentation reports
  • Obtain customer acknowledgment and signatures on completed service documentation
  • Follow up with customers within 48 hours of completed service visits
  • Coordinate with Customer Support Representatives and Service Dispatch regarding repair parts and logistics
  • Verify repair part ordering and delivery status
  • Perform complete installations of X-ray and medical imaging systems
  • Assist with equipment transport, assembly, and setup
  • Complete FDA Form 2579
  • Safely operate rigging and material-handling equipment
  • Perform radiation calibrations and quality control procedures
  • Participate in site planning, preventive maintenance inspections, and technical training
  • Support and mentor fellow team members
  • Support CMS Imaging sales initiatives, including service contract opportunities
  • Provide on-site technical support in clinical environments when required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Five (5) years of field service experience in Medical Imaging preferred
  • Manufacturer training in medical imaging equipment preferred
  • Completion of an approved X-Ray or Medical Imaging technical program
  • Electronics degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of medical imaging and X-ray equipment service and installation
  • Electronic troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, and computer hardware/software
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance and calibration procedures
  • Knowledge of clinical imaging applications
  • Customer service and relationship management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Successful Criminal Background Verification
  • Personal vehicle meeting company requirements
  • Ability to work with high-voltage electrical systems, including 208V to 480V three-phase AC power
  • Ability to properly utilize personal radiation monitoring equipment
  • Compliance with OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and company safety requirements
