About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support an energy and utilities client with documenting land rights in Scotland and England via servitudes and easements
- Manage an independent caseload of transactions
- Liaise with clients to obtain instructions
- Draft acquisition documentation
- Negotiate with transaction counterparties
- Carry out title reviews
- Assist with file opening procedures, including preparing first drafts of retainer letters
- Ensure compliance with money laundering regulations
- Work with data rooms and online trackers
- Manage completion and post-completion registrations, forms, filing, and client signing/reporting requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Enthusiastic, experienced Real Estate-focused Paralegal
- Keen eye for detail
- Ability to use initiative
- Ability to manage a large workload
- Strong academic background and a degree in law or equivalent qualification may be advantageous
- Alternatively, working towards CILEX or previous time-served Paralegal experience in a Real Estate background
- Experience with Real Estate transactions, land rights, servitudes and easements is ideally required
- Ability to work with data rooms and online trackers
- Knowledge of money laundering compliance procedures
- Full-time availability
