About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create actionable visualizations and data stories using Tableau
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and identify insights
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, outliers, and opportunities
  • Trace reporting data to source systems using multiple SQL dialects
  • Validate data lineage and reported information integrity
  • Design and build aggregates and semantic layers for high-performance reporting
  • Apply dashboard design, performance tuning, and Tableau user-experience best practices
  • Collaborate with data engineers and senior business intelligence engineers to optimize data models and pipelines
  • Support migration from legacy software reporting to Tableau
  • Validate data quality and reconcile reporting outputs with source data
  • Troubleshoot reporting discrepancies
  • Document data flows, metric definitions, and dashboards
  • Provide training and guidance to business users
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of three years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data-reporting roles
  • Proficient in SQL, including analyzing, aggregating, and troubleshooting data across multiple dialects
  • Knowledge of Tableau for dashboard creation, data storytelling, and embedded visualization
  • Working understanding of data warehouse, data lake, and lakehouse architecture
  • Experience creating aggregates, semantic layers, and optimized schemas for reporting performance
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Understanding of dashboard performance optimization, data-model best practices, and visualization standards
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to translate data insights into business recommendations
