About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide functional guidance and subject matter expertise for payroll activities across the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS)
  • Lead Oracle payroll user acceptance testing, validate system changes, and ensure payroll readiness
  • Act as the primary lead for amalgamations, dissolutions, and year-end processes
  • Create and maintain process documentation
  • Enable effective knowledge transfer across the team
  • Manage welcome packages, training, and stakeholder engagement for People Forward initiatives
  • Partner with payroll and technical teams to resolve complex issues
  • Implement process improvements and escalate system needs
  • Support FCL, local Co-ops, and employees across the Co-operative Retailing System
  • Report to the Senior Manager, Payroll Services

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in payroll processing and/or customer support on payroll systems
  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting; a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered
  • Familiarity with UKG and Oracle
  • May be required to complete a criminal record check in accordance with FCL policies
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Payroll administration expertise
