About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute software development/delivery squads and projects day to day
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget and scope, and with quality
  • Proactively manage project risks, mitigate risks, identify and escalate project variance
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to meet business objectives
  • Define and document project deliverables and timelines
  • Hold stakeholders accountable for their responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and report on squad progress throughout the SDLC and/or project plan
  • Lead scrum teams, manage sprints and agile cadences, and oversee end-to-end project schedules
  • Participate in working groups and steering committees
  • Manage project execution through risk and issue management, monitoring, tracking, reporting, workflow, quality assurance, change, and communication management
  • Manage cross-stream internal and external project dependencies
  • Align technical deliverables with business objectives
  • Review functional specifications, solution design, and user stories to map requirements, identify dependencies, and establish a critical path

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or certifications within Project Management, Agile, and/or IT
  • 7+ years of project management experience delivering complex, enterprise-grade digital applications/solutions
  • Knowledge of solution architecture for digital solutions
  • Experience delivering software projects with budgets of $3M+
  • Experience presenting to senior executive stakeholders (mandatory); exposure to C-suite preferred
  • Experience delivering technical projects across multiple streams of work
  • Experience with software project management across all phases of the SDLC, delivering multiple projects from inception to completion
  • Experience within Agile and waterfall software delivery
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Expert understanding of project management, including scheduling, resource capacity planning, risk mitigation strategies, and stakeholder management
  • Solid knowledge of project risk management frameworks
  • Previous experience as a technical business analyst, product owner, or developer preferred
