About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage selected global customers and brands in the South Europe region
  • Develop and implement sustainable, profitable sales and growth strategies for assigned customers, brands, and markets
  • Strategically expand existing Global Accounts and identify target customers and business opportunities
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customer decision-makers
  • Develop strategic account concepts to secure existing business and unlock additional growth opportunities
  • Serve as the central contact for Global Accounts and provide professional, reliable customer support
  • Manage global contracts, BOM specifications, and brand/manufacturer agreements; conduct price negotiations when required
  • Leverage Coats' technical expertise and product portfolio to develop customer solutions and upselling opportunities
  • Support customer product-development processes and coordinate customer-specific requirements with relevant internal functions
  • Collaborate with local and international Commercial Teams to implement brand requirements and specifications at production level
  • Conduct regular sales reviews and identify additional revenue and growth opportunities
  • Monitor market, competitor, and industry trends and derive appropriate sales measures
  • Report regularly on business development, opportunities, risks, and relevant market indicators
  • Represent Coats at customer meetings, industry events, and trade fairs
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Accounts Team and other international stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Successfully completed bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in sales, key account management, or a comparable commercial role, or demonstrable success in business development
  • Strong acquisition skills and hunter mentality
  • Strong networking skills and ability to build lasting relationships across different hierarchical levels
  • Understanding of market trends, technical developments, and new business opportunities
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Business-fluent German and very good English skills
  • Experience in textiles, apparel, sourcing, production, or product development preferred
  • Independent, structured, and detail-oriented working style with strong initiative
  • Comfortable working independently and in international, cross-functional teams
  • Openness to change and ability to adapt quickly to new requirements
  • Very good Microsoft Office skills
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Germany and internationally
  • MBA or additional textile-industry qualification advantageous
  • Strong technical knowledge in apparel advantageous
  • Understanding of international brand dynamics and the textile industry advantageous
  • Additional language skills, especially Italian or French, advantageous
