About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive business development and cultivate strong customer relationships
  • Manage a multi-million-dollar book of business
  • Deliver tailored process solutions through technical expertise and consultative selling
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities
  • Manage the sales pipeline from prospecting through close
  • Maximize penetration of existing accounts by introducing additional products and solutions
  • Conduct market research on industry trends, competitor activity, client needs, and market conditions
  • Develop and execute business plans and professional portfolios
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, weekly and monthly sales reports, goal updates, expense reports, travel plans, and business updates
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, product teams, internal teams, and the Production Manager
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with multiple contacts at each account
  • Educate customers on product specifications, applications, and process improvements
  • Conduct on-site client visits when necessary
  • Respond to customer inquiries, support requests, and service needs
  • Negotiate sales, pricing, and terms while ensuring profitability
  • Maintain and update the CRM
  • Report to the CEO
  • Manage travel expenses, including vendor travel, hotels, and client-related costs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in industrial, distributor and manufacturing sales, process consulting, or technical account management
  • Electronics manufacturing sales experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong knowledge of industrial process equipment and ability to develop technical expertise
  • Demonstrated success in business development, customer relationship management, and revenue growth
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, forecasting, and expense management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong prospecting and business development skills, with the ability to independently build a pipeline from the ground up
  • Existing book of business preferred, but not required
