About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide, support and perform work relating to customer needs through best practices in the field
Represent the company with the highest integrity and professionalism
Participate in on-site sales and gear inspections
Develop technical knowledge to communicate products and gear inspection services to customers
Build and maintain strong customer relationships and understand customer needs
Maintain contact with existing customers and make cold calls to prospective customers
Visit prospects and existing customers in person, generate leads and quotes through to sale
Create, submit and follow up on quotes and RFQs
Document and track new and existing business opportunities and rate their potential
Maintain accurate customer interaction records and update the database
Provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and opportunities to the PTS
Maintain monthly itineraries and submit daily briefs and weekly reports
Provide services and customer support during field visits
Tie workflow to schedule and manage on-site projects with little supervision
Diagnose technical errors and determine proper, cost-effective solutions
Follow time-keeping and billing requirements
Operate the vehicle safely
Cooperate with the technical team and share information with the company
Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations
Maintain a professional appearance
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Outstanding organizational skills with high attention to detail
High School diploma/trade school or College degree (experience also will do in lieu of degree)
Must have 2 years of servicing or calling on paper industry clients
Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision
Must be able to work individually and as a part of a team
Must have good sense of smell, hearing, and including good vision as these are of vital importance as safety issues in the Shop; normal working conditions in main office
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
Must have a stellar driving record and be able to cover the southeastern US territory
Technological capabilities and understanding to communicate in today’s business environment
50% Travel
Ability to read blueprints and drawings
Ability to descend/ascend on ladders or any other needs to elevate/descend in a safe manner
Must hold a valid driver license in good standings
Work required hours
Follow all Company Policies and Standard Operating Procedures
