About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the technical win in supported Security deals through discovery, solution design, demos, and proof of value
  • Serve as the security architecture SME for ransomware-recovery design, immutable/air-gapped vaulting, identity resilience, and DSPM
  • Architect reference architectures and lead technical workshops, POCs, and pilots across regulated industries
  • Build executive-quality technical narratives, solution briefs, architecture diagrams, and account-specific business cases
  • Understand accounts' technology footprints and work with the security partner ecosystem on joint solutions and technical co-sell
  • Feed field insights into the product roadmap
  • Support disciplined deal hygiene through accurate technical qualification and honest POC exit criteria
  • Collaborate one-to-one with a Sr. Security Sales Specialist, who owns the commercial relationship and close
  • Measure technical win rate, influenced revenue and pipeline progression, asset quality and reuse, partner co-sell results, qualification quality, and POC/forecast reliability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 5 years of pre-sales engineering and architecture experience in security
  • Hands-on experience designing or deploying ransomware-recovery architectures, immutable/air-gapped backup solutions, or identity-resilience systems
  • Strong infrastructure background in backup/recovery, storage, and hybrid-cloud
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory / Entra ID architecture and core security concepts
  • Knowledge of ransomware kill chains, immutability, air-gapping, and zero trust
  • Scripting/API proficiency, including Python and PowerShell, for demos and POCs
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences
  • Comfort operating in a co-sell / specialist model
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making
  • Professional English language proficiency for customer and internal communication
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Preferred: prior specialist or overlay SE/SA experience at a data infrastructure, backup, or cybersecurity vendor
  • Preferred: existing technical relationships or direct competitive experience in backup, cyber resilience, or data security markets
  • Candidates outside the designated area must be committed to relocating before their start date and have the legal right to work in the job location
