About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with Marketplace business leaders to improve understanding of financial levers and performance and optimize long-term strategy
- Communicate key financial and operational metrics to provide transparency into performance and inform strategic and operational decisions
- Support strategic long-range planning and scenario analysis for growth investments and strategic business decisions
- Track business performance against budget through monthly forecast updates
- Provide transparency to business leaders through reporting and live reviews
- Manage annual operating plan and quarterly planning cycles across Marketplace business units, including templates, submissions, iteration, and consolidation
- Contribute to the quarterly consolidated forecast by owning Marketplace GMV, revenue, and OpEx inputs, reviewing consolidated output, and drafting analysis
- Prepare analysis and draft narrative for quarterly board materials, board books, and executive reporting packages
- Build clear, credible materials for executive audiences when results diverge from plan
- Report to the Senior Director, Marketplace Finance & Strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5–8 years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, investing, or finance operations experience
- Experience partnering directly with function or business leaders on budgets and holding them to plan
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling skills, including driver-based models
- Ability to work with financial systems and tools such as NetSuite and Workday
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Process-oriented with high ownership and operating discipline
- Ability to influence and align partners across a matrixed organization without direct authority
- Strong attention to detail and structured problem solving
- Solid working knowledge of GAAP and financial management processes
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Experience in a consumer goods or digital marketplace business with marketplace unit economics (nice to have)
- MBA, CPA, or CFA (nice to have)
- Experience standing up or materially rebuilding a planning process (nice to have)
- Experience directing the work of an analyst on shared deliverables (nice to have)
- Passion for collectibles and/or sports (nice to have)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility validated through e-Verify
