About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build the PSA Liquidity Platform connecting supply and demand across PSA Partner Offers and eBay Consignment
- Lead development of buyer tooling for targeting, campaign management, budget controls, and analytics
- Build and optimize a real-time offer pricing, targeting, and ranking engine
- Improve seller experiences for pricing items and completing sales through PSA Partner Offers or eBay Consignment
- Design and operate scalable microservices and distributed, event-driven systems across millions of collectibles
- Use AI tooling across the development lifecycle
- Own projects end-to-end from ambiguous problem definition through shipped, instrumented production products
- Translate strategy into technical plans, specifications, and user stories
- Coordinate delivery across engineering teams and align stakeholders
- Connect liquidity handoffs across Grading, Collection Management, and Vaulting, including payments, logistics, and risk dependencies
- Communicate technical complexity and tradeoffs in executive reviews, standups, writing, and in-person discussions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of engineering experience
- Track record of designing, shipping, and scaling 0-to-1 products with measurable business impact
- Ideally 2+ years operating as a Senior IC or equivalent technical leadership level at a high-growth company or scaled consumer platform
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
- Strong proficiency in modern frontend frameworks such as React and Svelte
- Experience designing and operating microservices and Kafka-based event-driven architectures
- Experience running workloads on Kubernetes
- Knowledge of the AWS ecosystem
- Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or OpenTelemetry
- Experience building dashboards, monitoring and alerting, and using distributed tracing to debug production issues
- Experience using AI tooling across the software development lifecycle
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Extreme ownership mindset and ability to work in a fast-moving, self-directed environment
- Passion for collecting is a plus
- Ability to work legally in the United States; Collectors uses e-Verify to validate work authorization
