About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define strategy for training data capabilities and prioritize data collection
- Own decisions around data quality, review depth, confidence thresholds, and cost
- Own end-to-end data collection, including procurement, preparation, capture, expert labeling, and annotation
- Build scalable systems across data collection stages
- Coordinate teams and sites to maximize throughput and drive capacity planning
- Define human review processes and feedback loops that convert corrections into training data
- Partner with ML Engineering, Operations, and subject matter experts to set direction and drive execution
- Define metrics for data quality, model improvement, throughput, and cost efficiency
- Communicate progress and tradeoffs to senior leadership
- Mentor Product Managers and contribute to product practices and documentation
- Use Claude Cowork, Claude Code, Codex, and other emerging AI tools and coding agents to accelerate product development and improve workflows
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of product management experience
- Experience building a product, platform, or capability from the ground up
- Experience with AI/ML or AI-enabled operational workflows
- Understanding of workflows combining models and human expertise
- Strong systems thinking across complex, multi-step workflows
- Experience owning measurable business outcomes involving cost, efficiency, or quality
- Ability to influence technical teams, operators, and subject matter experts without direct authority
- Hands-on experience establishing processes, pipelines, documentation, and operating mechanisms
- Exceptional written communication for technical and business audiences
- Willingness to travel to multiple data collection sites approximately once per month to once per quarter
- Ability to work legally in the United States; employment eligibility validated through e-Verify
