About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the owner/client interface and manage the project design team relationship
  • Act as the primary on-site New Jersey-based member for Workplace Office Space Fit-Out and amenity-area construction activities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Office Space Fit-Out installations, finishes, and specialty installations
  • Lead planning and programming for facilities operational components within overall project design and execution
  • Lead IT, Security, and A/V equipment planning, programming, and integration into architectural and mechanical documentation
  • Coordinate Requests for Information and document client approvals for specification and requirement changes
  • Liaise during fit-out programming, design, construction-document generation, construction implementation, punch-list, and close-out phases
  • Moderate project meetings, create agendas, maintain project directories, issue minutes, and track and close action items
  • Develop and track budgets and milestones/schedules; document changes and deviations for audit purposes
  • Generate RFPs, interview and analyze project-team options, and recommend architects, interior designers, procurement agents, and general contractors
  • Oversee FF&E and third-party procurement
  • Manage cost and change control and engage the construction team on value engineering, changes, and program updates
  • Coordinate with the construction project team, owner’s consultants, contractors, and Senior Project Manager Lab/Tech Specialist

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Background in Project Management, Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering
  • At least 12 years of experience
  • Tenant Improvement project management experience
  • Experience in fit-out, audiovisual installations, and all aspects of FFE
  • Familiarity with MEP, FFE, AV, IT, and Security for design and construction
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting and communicating critical schedule data
  • Ability to learn client-specific software applications
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, and SharePoint
  • Five years’ experience with MS Project or similar scheduling software
  • Proficiency with web-based project management tools and IWMS systems
  • Understanding of the project life cycle
  • Ability to drive risk identification, quantification, response, and control using project data
  • Ability to identify critical issues, analyze schedules, and create concise professional reports
  • Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders and proactively anticipate their needs
  • Planning and organizing skills, including scheduling, resource utilization, and coordinating multiple activities
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
