About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Achieve territory sales objectives through selling activities
- Cultivate business partnerships with key decision makers
- Conduct clinical consultations and drive market share and sales growth
- Sell and service Coloplast implantable and single-use surgical devices to Urology customers
- Engage targeted accounts and develop and execute strategic territory plans
- Analyze sales and marketing data to identify territory opportunities
- Understand clinical, financial, and other key decision makers and account needs
- Advance the sales process and achieve or exceed product-line business and marketing targets
- Conduct cost/benefit analysis
- Use consultative selling to uncover customer strategy and present financial and clinical value propositions
- Plan daily call routines and account penetration
- Use marketing tools, sales reports, educational materials, and national contracts to maximize sales growth
- Monitor competitive activity and sales volume
- Build relationships and support current customer business
- Develop long-term relationships that increase product use in target accounts
- Develop cross-functional relationships and share knowledge
- Maintain clinical and technical product knowledge and educate peers
- Attend industry training, meetings, and events for business development
- Interact with surgeons, doctors, nurses, technicians, procurement, inventory control, administrative staff, and related personnel
- Provide case coverage as needed
- Attend procedures and surgeries to answer product-related questions while following operating room protocols and not crossing the sterile field or interacting with patients
- Maintain healthcare facility and operating room compliance standards
- Organize information in CRM or related tools
- Maintain sales reporting, forecasting, inventory, and expense records
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 2 years sales experience
- Urology background and implantable device sales preferred
- Experience in relationship and consultative selling skills
- Experience in interpersonal and customer service skills
- Experience in negotiating, analytical, oral and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and follow-through
- Exceptional listening skills
- Valid driver’s license required; driving is a requirement
- Ability to work independently, with high initiative and results orientation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Willingness to travel overnight 30–50%
- Effective time and territory management skills and administrative capabilities
- Ability to personify Coloplast Mission, Values and Vision and Coloplast Leadership Principles
- Ability to complete healthcare facility credentialing requirements
- Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, the Advamed Code of Ethics, and company policies
