About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Achieve territory sales objectives through selling activities
- Cultivate business partnerships with key decision makers
- Provide clinical consultations and drive market share and sales growth
- Sell and service Coloplast implantable and single-use surgical devices to urology customers
- Engage targeted accounts and develop and execute strategic territory plans
- Analyze sales and marketing data to identify territory opportunities
- Understand clinical, financial, and other key decision makers and customer needs
- Advance the sales process and achieve product-line business and marketing targets
- Conduct cost/benefit analysis
- Use consultative selling to uncover customer strategy and present clinical and financial value propositions
- Plan daily call routines and account penetration
- Use marketing tools, sales reports, educational materials, and national contracts to maximize growth
- Monitor competitive activity and account sales volume
- Build relationships and teach peers across product categories
- Retain and support the current customer base and identify growth opportunities
- Develop long-term customer and cross-functional organizational relationships
- Maintain clinical and technical product knowledge and educate peers
- Attend industry training, meetings, and events for business development
- Interact with healthcare professionals including surgeons, doctors, nurses, technicians, procurement, inventory control, and administrative staff
- Provide case coverage as needed
- Attend procedures and surgeries to answer product-related questions while following operating room protocols
- Organize information in CRM or related tools
- Maintain sales records, reporting, forecasting, inventory, and expense management
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 2 years sales experience
- Urology background and implantable device sales preferred
- Experience in relationship and consultative selling skills
- Experience in interpersonal and customer service skills
- Experience in negotiating, analytical, oral and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and follow through
- Exceptional listening skills
- Valid driver’s license required; driving is a requirement
- Ability to work independently, with high initiative and results orientation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Willingness to travel overnight 30–50%
- Effective time and territory management skills and administrative capabilities
- Ability to personify Coloplast Mission, Values and Vision and Coloplast Leadership Principles
- Completion of healthcare facility credentialing requirements
- Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, the Advamed Code of Ethics, and company policies
